Getting the Timing Right for Flexible and Rigid Moulds

Nothing throws off a good casting rhythm more than a delay in setting time. For flexible moulds, this can mean edges that remain tacky. For rigid moulds, it can lead to cracks or unpredictable warping when curing lags behind schedule.

Late autumn afternoons tend to hold their humidity through the night, which can interfere with overnight curing. That’s why we often try to pour our moulds earlier, ideally by mid-morning.
